The Project
Metalwork Throughout the Restaurant
MM by Morimoto is Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto's restaurant on Glenridge Avenue in Montclair, opened in July 2025 with Montclair Hospitality Group. The room seats 200.
HM Metalworks built the custom metalwork for the space over two to three months: the doors, stainless steel sinks, bronze wrapped walls, perforated wall panels, wine racks, metal lettering and signs, and the oversized metal buttons set into the upholstery.
What We Built
Bronze Wrapped Walls
Curved bronze panels that wrap the wall and arch over the banquettes.
Perforated Wall Panels
Dark perforated metal panels that curve around the dining room walls.
Upholstery Buttons
Large round metal buttons in black, white and gold finishes, set into the upholstered panels.
Wine Racks
Angled metal shelves that display the bottles behind glass.
Stainless Steel Sinks
Wall hung stainless steel trough sinks with squared edges, welded and finished in our shop.
Metal Lettering and Signs
Cut metal letters and signs, including this lettering set in a lit wood frame.
